SEO

Rankings and page speed, treated as one job.

Most local businesses already show up when someone searches their name. The harder job is showing up when someone searches for what they sell. That is what local SEO for small businesses comes down to: the technical work that lets search engines read your site properly, and pages written around the words people actually type. We treat those as one job, not two, because fixing one without the other leaves the site half done.

Found for your name, not for what you sell

Search your business name and your site is probably there. Search for the service you offer, in the area you offer it, and it probably is not. That gap is not one problem. It is several stacked on top of each other. Pages search engines cannot index, or index under the wrong title. A home page that says welcome where it should say what you do and where you do it. No page at all for the service people actually type. Markup that leaves your name, address and phone unread by machines. And underneath all of it, a site that struggles on a phone, so the people who do find it wait. Fix one of these, call it done, and you get what many local businesses already have: an invoice for SEO and no way to say what changed.

Indexing and structure, written down before anything changes

Before we touch a page, we record where the site stands, with a date on it. For SEO that means which pages are indexed and which are not, what title and description each one carries, how the pages are structured and which service has no page, whether the markup tells search engines what the business is and where it operates, and the Lighthouse scores on mobile and desktop. Indexing and structure come first because they decide whether the rest matters. A well-written page that is not indexed is a page nobody finds, and a fast site with the wrong structure is fast at saying nothing useful. Once the work is done, we measure the same things again and put both sets of numbers in front of you. What moved is yours to check, not ours to describe.

What local SEO for small businesses covers

  • Indexing: finding the pages search engines have skipped, and why.
  • Structure: a page for each service, titled the way people search for it.
  • Speed: fixing what makes the site slow on a phone, measured in Lighthouse.
  • Markup: telling search engines what the business is, where it is and how to reach it.
  • Copy: pages written around the words people type, not the words the trade uses.
  • Google Business Profile: checked against the site, so the two agree.
  • Re-measurement: the same Baseline checks run again, both numbers shown.

Who this is for

For a business that shows up when people search its name, but not when people search for what it sells. It is also for a business that has paid for SEO before and cannot say what that work changed. If you want the before and the after written down, with a date on each, this is built for that.

Questions before you book

Will this get my business to rank higher?

We do not promise rankings, because nobody outside Google controls what it shows. What we can do is remove the things that stop search engines reading your site, build the pages people are searching for, and measure both before and after. The Baseline is the honest version of that answer: it tells you what is broken now, and the second measurement tells you what changed.

Why does page speed sit inside SEO here?

Because the same Baseline that records whether your pages are indexed also records their Lighthouse scores, and the fixes overlap. Cleaning up the code that slows a page down is often the same work as making it readable to a search engine. Splitting the two across different suppliers is how a site ends up fast but empty, or well written but slow. So we do both, and measure both.

Do I need a new website for this?

Not necessarily. The Baseline tells us whether the site you have can be fixed or whether the problems run through the build itself. Some sites need pages added and titles corrected. Others are held together in a way that makes every fix a patch. We will tell you which yours is, with the measurements to back it, before any work is quoted.

What does it cost?

Pricing is on request and quoted against your Baseline, because the work depends on what it finds. Price moves with how many locations and services need a page of their own, and with how much of the site has to be rebuilt before those pages can be added. Once the Baseline is done, you get a quote against it, not a package off a shelf.

Start with a Baseline.

Tell us what you sell and where, and we will start by writing down where your site stands today.
